It’s Advent Season!

A time to celebrate the first arrival of Jesus while we eagerly await His return.

Pray about doing this as a personal study, your family devotion during the Christmas season, or as an outreach Bible study in your neighborhood. It can be completed or facilitated in 4 sessions. For example: one session per week after Thanksgiving or one session per day before Christmas. You can also simply customize it per your schedule.

The Advent Study

Sourced from NBS2GO

This brief 4-session study is meant to draw our attention to the humble commencement of the Savior of our lives. As you read, ponder, and study God’s Word, amazing changes will begin to transpire deep within you. The season of Advent will certainly become an exciting time of preparation as you study the Scriptures directly associated with His arrival.

The Study Guide

Each day, read the Scripture, pray for understanding, and answer the questions.

Read the Scripture

Week 1: Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 2:1-7

Week 2: Luke 2:8-20

Week 3: Luke 2:25-33

Week 4: Matthew 2:1-12

Sample Prayer from Bible Recap

God, give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Let any knowledge I gain serve to help me love You and others more, and not puff me up. Help me see something new about You I’ve never seen before. Correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand. Direct my steps according to Your Word. In Christ's name I pray. Amen!
